Your Health, are you going on vacation?
Summer started days ago and many are looking to lose weight now. And the faster the better.
First of all, it would be highly recommended that your weight remain stable throughout the year, and the care that everyone now seems to want to take, be constant. Your health does not take a vacation, you know. And weight influences much more than the reflection in the mirror, (even in Covid-19 cases).
We are not in a competition! Your health is yours and what matters is the weight you feel good about, that enhances your well-being and that you can maintain...all year long. What others say or think... forget it (and this is just me saying, not a study).
Close your eyes and imagine yourself happy in a park walking on a beautiful sunny day. Enjoy the flowers, the trees, the sound of the birds, and the laughter you hear in between. Now look at yourself and see how you look. That is the physical shape we want you to achieve together. And if you are in harmony in all areas of your life, the weight will eventually adjust evenly.
So let's go:
- Move. Did you hear that you could lose weight without exercising?
Yes, you can, but your health, your well-being, your muscle mass, the amount of food you can eat, is not the same if you don't move. Whatever it is, do what you can, even once a week. You are a priority!
- Drink water. Yes, there are many other drinks but why water?
Because water is the foundation of your body and without it nothing works. Water can help with appetite, metabolism, weight loss, detoxification, stress reduction. Sounds simple? Then why don't you drink 2 L of water a day yet?
- Solve that issue that is taking away your nights sleep or causing you stress just thinking about it.
Yes, you can 't run away from that. If you can't change the situation you have to accept it and truly move on, but maybe there is something you can do.
- Have regular regular sleepIf you don't have regular sleeping schedules, leave your cell phone and the TV before bed because these affect the quality of your sleep and the quality of your sleep influences your weight, appetite, and your well-being.
- Accept the situation as it is and the fact that the success of the process depends on you.
If you don't truly want to change, nothing will work. Not everyone has to wear XS, nor is it beneficial to be too thin . Just as I cannot say that you should accept being overweight or obese, especially when it affects your health. Feel good about your body, and set goals that are compatible with your health, the life you lead, and the way you are.
What about food?
Before you can resolve these issues, any dietary changes will be temporary and may trigger the yo-yo effect.
We will continue the topic in a future post, and until then try to choose real foods and have a colorful diet.
Each patient is unique and so is the weight that each one should/wants to have.
